In some situations in windows 8 users have reported a bug with UAC. When an app like ours tries to gain administrator privileges you may see a prompt similar to this:

This isn't actually caused by our application, its an issue with the sound effect scheme being used, and the sound effect for the UAC prompt having an unsupported audio codec.

The issue can be resolved by changing the sound theme (right click on desktop, choose "personalisation) to windows default.
