Windows PPTP Setup Guide

Last updated by Shayne M on May 21, 2013 23:22

Windows users don't need to download any software to configure PPTP - it's built into Windows XP, Vista and 7.

  • Hit the start button, then Control Panel
  • Select "Network and Sharing Centre"
  • Select "Connect to a network"

Select "Connect to a workplace"

Select "Use my Internet connection (VPN)"

Enter the address and label for the server you'd like to connect to - you can find full listings in our members area by clicking the "servers" menu

Enter your VPNSecure.me username and password.

And hit connect, and you're done!

Depending on your windows configuration you may get asked what network security profile to use on connection, we recommend you select "Public Network" for maximum security.

To disconnect, or reconnect to saved PPTP server profiles click the network icon in your tray menu in the bottom right corner

Troubleshooting
